We will spend a few articles on products, this summer. We will start with the indispensable accessory for all those who want to carry their PDA, iphone, ipod or gps everywhere with them and even under water!
We are talking about the Beach Buoy case, distributed by Proporta, waterproof to 5m and protect our beloved mobile devices of all impurities and other grains of sand.
The product is of good manufacture and materials used and the seams seem strong. You can insert all types of electronic devices, but attention to the thickness of it because if it is too thick it may force on the welds that connect the plastic to the rest of the case.
Our Ipaq 214 used for the test appears to correspond to the size limit (you have a lot of margin since it is a very large pocket pc).
Before attempting any immersion that has a mobile with almost € 500 I advise you to perform a leak test of the case.

Bluetooth 3.0, Bluetooth or broadband is on track. The Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group) has formally adopt the specification version 3.0 HS (High Speed) transfer protocol wireless blue tooth.
It’s yesterday, Tuesday 21 April, the promotion group of Bluetooth validated the specifications of the future of the standard Bluetooth wireless communication. Called Bluetooth 3.0 HS (High Speed), it should come standard in the era of broadband with a transfer rate of up to (theoretically) the 24 Mbps.
Using the same radio band as Wi-Fi (802.11 Band) and reverse previous versions compatible, Bluetooth 3.0 HS will directly compete with Wi-Fi for transferring large files size. The specifications also provide for improved energy management to optimize battery devices without son. The first products incorporating Bluetooth 3.0 HS should appear within 9 to 12 months.
